“Together We Rise” isn’t just a slogan—it’s a reflection of SoCo’s values and the growing impact of women in construction and the trades across Southern Colorado.
At SoCo Wood & Windows, we realized that it’s not enough to celebrate Women in Construction Week with the rest of the nation– we needed a full month to do justice to women in skilled trades! Throughout March, SoCo Wood & Windows honored women in construction with the powerful theme “Together We Rise” as we put a special spotlight on the incredible women who are shaping the trades across Southern Colorado and the Four Corners.

Women in Construction: A Growing Force in Colorado
Stats + Trends for 2025
The construction industry continues to grow—and women are claiming more space than ever before. In 2025, women make up nearly 11% of the construction workforce, with numbers rising fastest in roles such as project management, design, and skilled trades. As the industry evolves, inclusive hiring and leadership in the Four Corners construction community are proving essential to long-term success.
The Four Corners Perspective
Here in the rugged beauty of the Four Corners, women in construction bring unique grit, vision, and resilience. Whether managing residential builds in Pagosa Springs or designing custom millwork for homes in Telluride, local tradeswomen are leaving their mark—one beam, bracket, and window at a time.
At SoCo Wood& Windows, we understand the importance of visibility and networking for women in trades in smaller communities. That’s why we’re proud that our locations in Durango and Pagosa Springs help support women in skilled trades across rural towns like Cortez, Pagosa Springs, and Telluride.
Spotlighting SoCo’s Women Team Members
At SoCo Wood & Windows, we’re proud of the diverse team behind our success. March gave us the perfect excuse to celebrate the women who help drive our business forward every day.
Behind the Scenes at SoCo
Throughout the month, we shared dedicated social media spotlights on each of our women team members. From inside sales to operations, every woman at SoCo brings skill, creativity, and heart to the table.
Their stories, their paths into construction, and their insights into the future of the industry inspired our customers—and us.
Recap of the EsoTerra Ciderworks Celebration
To close out our Women in Construction Month, we hosted a joyful community event to raise a glass to progress and connection.
Event Highlights
On a sunny afternoon at EsoTerra Ciderworks in Durango, women from across the Colorado construction world gathered for laughter, good food, and well-earned recognition. Hosted by our General Manager, Rachael Mauch, the event welcomed tradeswomen, business leaders, and local supporters for an uplifting afternoon of conversation and camaraderie.
Why Events Like These Matter
Women in the trades often work in male-dominated environments. Events like this provide a rare (and important) chance for women in skilled trades to network, share experiences, and celebrate each other’s achievements. Building a stronger community of tradeswomen helps everyone rise together—exactly what this year’s theme was all about.
