Our Story

First founded in 1958 as Las Animas Wood Products, SoCo Wood & Windows carries on the rich tradition of woodworking and milling in Colorado by offering only real wood products in standard and custom designs.

The current owner, Ryan Siggins, purchased Las Animas Wood Products in 2015 when it was on the verge of shutting its doors for good. Together with his wife Kerry, Ryan worked to turn the business around, renaming it Durango Wood Company, and establishing it as the premier millworks in the Four Corners area with its stunning wood products made with exceptional quality.

In 2021, the Siggins expanded again by acquiring Doors & More in Pagosa Springs, CO—a door and window dealer known in the area for its unparalleled customer service and quality in-house framing shop.

Together, Durango Wood Company and Doors & More are now SoCo Wood & Windows. Our mission is to help you transform ordinary houses into extraordinary living spaces with timeless wood products, quality windows, and doors you can’t find anywhere else.

Meet the Owners

The Siggins Family

The Siggins Family is committed to creating meaningful jobs and high-quality products in the Four Corners area.

Ryan Siggins, Owner of Durango Wood Arboles, Bayfield,

Ryan Siggins, a serial entrepreneur, first moved to Durango, Colorado in 2004 to open his first chiropractic practice (yes, he is a chiropractor!). During his healthcare stint, he started 2 other adjunct businesses — Durango Bike Fit and Quantified Performance.  After Jack was born in 2012, Ryan decided it was time to transition out of the healthcare field.

In 2014 while looking for business opportunities in Durango, Ryan stumbled on Las Animas Wood Products. Seeing an opportunity to continue the legacy of millwork production in La Plata County, Ryan and Kerry purchased the equipment and property in early 2015, and then Doors and More in 2021. Ryan is proud to own this historic property and business, creating jobs and products for the Four Corners region.

In addition to helping Ryan grow SoCo Wood & Windows, Kerry is the CEO of StoneAge, Inc., the global leader in designing and manufacturing high-pressure water blast cleaning tools and robotic equipment used in the industrial cleaning industry. StoneAge sells and supports its products throughout the world and was recognized as a Top 100 company to work for by Outside Magazine.

Kerry was named one of Colorado’s Top 25 Most Influential Young Professionals and was a finalist for Colorado’s ‘CEO of the Year’ in 2017. She sits on several other boards and is a dynamic, sought-after speaker, podcaster, author, and blogger. Kerry was born in Montrose, Colorado, and has deep roots in Western Colorado.

Jack Siggins attends St. Columba School in Durango, where his favorite subject is math. He is on the Durango BMX Team and the Purgatory Ski Team.
