Our Story
First founded in 1958 as Las Animas Wood Products in Durango, CO, SoCo Wood & Windows carries on the rich tradition of woodworking and milling in Colorado by offering only real wood products in standard and custom designs.
The current owner, Ryan Siggins, purchased Las Animas Wood Products in 2015 when it was on the verge of shutting its doors for good. Together with his wife Kerry, Ryan worked to turn the business around, renaming it Durango Wood Company, and establishing it as the premier millworks in the Four Corners area with its stunning wood products made with exceptional quality.
In 2021, the Siggins expanded again by acquiring Doors & More in Pagosa Springs, CO—a door and window dealer known in the area for its unparalleled customer service and quality in-house framing shop.
Together, Durango Wood Company and Doors & More are now SoCo Wood & Windows. Our mission is to help everyone in Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico transform ordinary houses into extraordinary living spaces with timeless wood products, quality windows, doors, and cabinets you can’t find anywhere else.
Meet the Owner
SoCo Wood & Windows is committed to creating meaningful jobs and high-quality products in the Four Corners area.

Ryan
Owner
Ryan Siggins, a serial entrepreneur, first moved to Durango, Colorado in 2004 to open his first chiropractic practice (yes, he is a chiropractor!). During his healthcare stint, he started 2 other adjunct businesses — Durango Bike Fit and Quantified Performance. After Jack was born in 2012, Ryan decided it was time to transition out of the healthcare field.
In 2014 while looking for business opportunities in Durango, Ryan stumbled on Las Animas Wood Products. Seeing an opportunity to continue the legacy of millwork production in La Plata County, Ryan and Kerry purchased the equipment and property in early 2015, and then Doors and More in 2021. Ryan is proud to own this historic property and business, creating jobs and products for the Four Corners region.

He began his work in windows as a trim carpenter. He has worked in the role he is in now for 12 years, in large part because he really enjoys the people that he works with and the supportive small team dynamic that exists at SoCo Wood & Windows.

Erin is passionate about creative design work that allows her to create extraordinary homes for SoCo clients. She loves how easy it is for SoCo customers to get so many of their project needs filled at one place, and seeing the smiles on the builder’s and owner’s faces when it all comes together.
Erin’s favorite SoCo product? Live edge walnut slabs. With three in her own home, she loves the solid earth element it brings, and the way that people seem to naturally gather around them. “I love them in a kitchen, bar, home office–even a pantry can rock a live edge slab.”
